Are
My
name is David Smith, and along with my wife Jan Smith, founded Beactive
mobility. We have four fabulous kids: Wayne, the eldest is a highly skilled
computer and software technician; Ashley, an award winning marketing consultant
and internet marketer; Daniel, who loves travelling and working in ski resorts
in America and our daughter; Heather, who recently passed a 3 year college
course in hairdressing and is now a mobile hairdresser.
Hobbies
& Interests
My boys & I love Harley Davidsons, I’m especially a fan of
50’s Americana and play guitar in a 50’s Rock & Roll band at the weekends. Jan
is an avid football fan and Tottenham supporter and regularly watches Ashley and
his cousin play for Norwich United and the Old Red House Pub in Lowestoft.

Why Did
We Get Involved In Mobility
In early 2000 we realised there was a need for mobility
equipment in Lowestoft. Jan was a staff nurse caring for the elderly in a
private Nursing Home and found it difficult to obtain items that would help the
residents. We bought a mobility franchise called ‘Scootermart OK Care Centers’.
The growth we experienced was huge and we had to move to larger premises twice.
When our franchise contract expired in 2006 we started our own company, Beactive
Mobility Ltd.
10 Years later we have 3 stores, our Mega Store in Bevan
Street East, Lowestoft, a store in Mere Street, Diss, and in 2009 we opened a
store in Jones GC Way, Great Yarmouth.

In each store we have trained advisors who are there to
answer your questions and provide you with the support and advice you need to
ensure you are getting the right product for your needs.
Whatever your need, we have a product to help you and we’ll
provide you with the help and advice whether you choose to buy from us or not.
After sales is so important in this business and we pride
ourselves on delivering a service second to none to keep our customers mobile.
It means everything to us to have a satisfied and happy customer who can
purchase with peace of mind knowing we’ll respond to any cry for help
immediately.
This is one of the reasons we don’t condone supplying
scooters on the internet as you will not get the backup you will defiantly need
nor in most instances, receive a proper assessment.

Motability Accredited
We are Motability Accredited 1st class dealers,
and if you receive the Higher Rate Disability Living Allowance (DLA) or War
Pensioners Supplement, then you can qualify for a Mobility Scooter, Electric
wheelchair or Powerchair on the scheme. Click on the Motability button for more
