Ok, lets
explain the two types of policy:
1.
Comprehensive insurance
like a car insurance, which gives the
following benefits:
- Any Driver
- Accident
Damage
- Fire Damage
- Storm
Damage
- Flood
Damage
- Theft or
Damage caused by attempted theft.
- Third party
public liability up to two million pounds
2.
Extended warranty
this is like an extended warranty you can
buy for a washing machine or TV, it gives the following benefits:
- Unforeseen
electrical and or mechanical failure after the manufacturers warranty has
expired.
- It covers
all relevant call out charges, labour and parts.
- If over one
year old, the Scooter or Powerchair must have been serviced within last 90
days by approved dealer
- Extended
warranty only available for products under six years old at date of policy
commencement
- For new
items, extended warranty must be taken within 45 days of purchasing, this
means the second year will commence when the manufacturers warranty expires,
otherwise you will lose the first 45 days (this is to prevent fraudulent
claims)
- On both
policies, main exclusions are tyres, batteries, motor brushes, fuses and bulbs
and any consumable item.
Ask to see the
policy for complete wording, including more benefits and limitations. Policies
underwritten by Aviva and London General Insurance
